W tym odcinku poznasz dwa czasowniki frazowe, a.k.a. frejzale, które mogą okazać się przydatne, gdybyśmy zapomnieli czasownika plateau (out).
Przykłady zdań użyte w nagraniu:
The plane levelled off/out at 30,000 feet.
After climbing steeply, the path levelled off/out.
Oil prices should level off/out when the war is over.
Workers levelled off/out the wet concrete with a piece of wood.
Zdania do tłumaczenia:
- Ceny jeszcze się nie ustabilizowały.
- Spodziewamy się, że bezrobocie unormuje się na poziomie 5%.
- Kiedy ścieżka rowerowa zaczęła iść po równym, jazda była o wiele łatwiejsza.
Zdania przetłumaczone:
- Prices haven't levelled off/out yet.
- We expect unemployment to level off/out at 5%
- When the cycling path levelled off/out, the ride was so much easier.

This is a podcast for intermediate learners of English, especially my students, current and those I taught in the past. Since most of them are Polish, it was originally designed with Polish learners in mind. However, with new technology and methods of communication, allowing me to work with students from various parts of the world, the podcast has quickly evolved, and is no longer aimed at one particular nationality. The majority of my listeners are not even my students. The original goal, however, remains the same: providing learners of English with advice and listening material that could help them on their way from the intermediate to the advanced level of English language competence - the route I followed too.
