Two hundred years ago, the human lifespan was half of what it is today. People died from infections, injuries and complications during childbirth — causes that almost never kill in the modern world. Although we have eliminated many sources of human illness and premature deaths, some aspects of the modern world have actually promoted chronic illnesses. We live longer, but not always better lives. Druing his lecture entitled "Living Well as the First Medicine: Health and Wellness in the Modern World", Prof. Kelly Wilson, from the University of Mississipi will examine a host of stressors that have an impact on the quality of life and will orient the audience to a kinder and gentler path to improving health and wellness. https://english.swps.pl/university/events/2916-living-well-as-the-first-medicine Kelly G.
