The Fisheries Ministry has announced that gulper shark fishing will be permitted annually from December to June, easing the long-standing blanket ban on shark fishing in the Maldives. Under the new Management Plan, gulper shark fishing and its trade require a special license from the Ministry, with permits capped at a maximum of 40 vessels nationwide. #maldives #Newsroommv #Shark #sharkfishing
