About the exhibition pavilion “Gerhard Richter Birkenau” on the grounds of the International Youth Meeting Center in Oswiecim, which was inaugurated on 9.2.2024. What does it consist of? What was the process of its creation, which originated from four historical photos taken in the vicinity of the Birkenau crematorium in 1944 by members of the Sonderkommando?

 

A conversation with Sabine Moritz-Richter (b. 1969) - German painter, printmaker, wife of Gerhard Richter, who lives and works in Cologne. For almost 30 years, in addition to conducting her own artistic activity, she has accompanied her husband, watching his creative process.
