Cross-functional teamwork is the process of bringing together individuals with diverse skill sets and perspectives to work towards a common goal. This can be a challenge, but when done effectively, it can lead to a number of benefits, including:
– Increased innovation: Cross-functional teamwork allows for the sharing of ideas and perspectives from different areas of the business. This can lead to the development of new and innovative products and services.
– Improved efficiency: Cross-functional teamwork can help to streamline processes and improve efficiency. This can lead to cost savings and increased profitability.

As a DesignOps practitioner, you are responsible for getting DesignOps initiatives executed in an orderly fashion. In Peter Boersma’s view, this means that you should maintain a roadmap for DesignOps, and work with others to get the initiatives on it done. The maintenance part already consists of at least five different activities, and for the execution part you will need people with the DesignOps Mindset to help you. Peter will show how he has done this in the past, including examples of DesignOps initiatives from Miro and ServiceNow.

Everyone can become a webflow expert (the truth about mindset, skillset, and how to become webflow master)
Webflow is a hot topic nowadays, although its marketing is pretty misleading (same as other no-code tools). It's not about web design, or rather, not design-only. It's about development. As long as we can use Webflow for design, true, switching the mindset to development will make us create timeless, effortless and efficient websites. Not only sites that look good and attract the eye. Let’s talk about best practices and most common mistakes in Low-code development.
Let’s decompose no/low-code development mindset, including consulting approach and value–focus (not deliverables). What you’ll learn is, being able to treat websites as products and tools helping companies reach business goals. Understand how designers and Webflow dev’s see layout, what you have to remember about.
How to approach accessibility. Interactions (not only animations). How important it is to spend more time thinking than acting - for example, how to build comprehensive CMS structures, by starting from information architecture, and more.

Neurodiversity, what UX should know to design (even better) accessibility solutions
Czyli co powinien wiedzieć UX, by projektować (jeszcze lepiej) inkluzywny design.

The voice of the customer - about the shortcomings of declarative research in product discovery
Voice of the Customer - easy to get and analyze, hard to conclude from. Organizations have fallen in love with automatic techniques for tracking feedback from their customers. They eagerly reach for reviews, opinions, helpline reports and ratings on scales. It gives them a conviction that their organization is customer-centric. However, it is not the most accurate source of users' needs in product discovery. In the presentation, I will focus on what are the limitations of declarative methods and what are their alternatives.

Making a mountain out of a molehill. Designing an application accessible to seniors
I will share how I transformed a project aimed at adding a dark mode in the interface of an application for registering car entries in logistics parks into designing a solution accessible to seniors. The users of the application are security guards who work at security posts at night, opening and closing gates for cars. Initially, the most frequently reported problem was glare from the screen and problems with reading data in tables. During my research, I diagnosed a broader problem - the application needed to be adapted to senior users.
My talk will explore the fear and uncertainty experienced by users aged 60+ who are forced to navigate an increasingly digital world. I will address why they are often apprehensive about using applications, computers, and technology in general. I will also emphasize the importance of understanding the needs and problems faced by seniors in order to design effective solutions that cater to their unique requirements. Through empathy and skillful design of tools that seniors use at work, we - designers - can help them climb the "rocky hills" of technology.

As front-end developers writing modern web applications, we often forget that a deep knowledge of HTML is a skill to be honed. The result is that the huge majority of digital products have invalid HTML, which results in accessibility issues. In her talk, Marta will show you how to start taking HTML seriously by showcasing how to implement some very common semantic elements along with those less common ones. She will explain why this matters and share strategies on how to keep your skills fresh.

In the current information age, data visualizations need accessibility just as any other content type. Whilst we rave over supplying images with alternative text and providing closed captions or audio descriptions for multimedia, barely anyone seems to consider the accessibility of the ever-growing mound of data visualizations in our everyday news feeds.
Charts and graphs are a huge accessibility challenge, but obiding by a few simple rules can greatly improve the user experience of many special needs groups - especially the visually impaired and users with cognitive deficits - enhancing the experience for all of us at the same time.
